APC Bonus Tech Letter

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to pass along the attached technical letter from the CSU detailing the continuation of our ongoing bonus programs during fiscal year 2025-2026.

You will read that our three bonuses remain intact even while bargaining between the Union and the CSU is pending. This is a summary of the information on the technical letter:

* Long Term Service Bonus (LTS) will be payable no later than September 1, 2026 to employees who complete at least 10 years of service in Unit 4 (and thereafter in five year increments) during fiscal year 2025-2026. This bonus is a one-time lump sum equivalent to an employee’s five percent (5%) annual salary. Employees in less than full-time positions will receive a pro-rata amount.

* Educational Achievement Stipend (EAS) will be payable to Unit 4 employees who have earned an advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) from an accredited institution between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. Unit 4 employees meeting this criteria must be on payroll as of August 1, 2026 to receive the stipend in the following amounts no later than September 1, 2026:

  • Master’s stipend amount $2,272.37
  • Doctoral stipend amount $2,840.46

* Budget Shortfall Mitigation (BSM) Bonus will be payable to Unit 4 employees on pay or leave status as of May 1, 2026. This bonus will be disbursed no later than November 1, 2026. Its amount will be determined once the LTS and EAS bonuses have been paid out and will be communicated to the Unit in a future technical letter.

I am including the CSU technical letter for your perusal.

APC’s bonus programs are unique in the CSU and the product of visionary bargaining from our past dues-paying members. If you are yet not a member of APC, I encourage you to support the work of the Union by joining here.

In Union,
Dagoberto Argueta
APC President
