The APC Bargaining Team met again with the CSU on July 9. Citing incomplete information on the CSU budget, the University did not bring to the table any economic proposal and deferred submitting one until they have a full financial picture of the CSU not only for this fiscal year, but for the next.
While the University’s failure to deliver in this key area of our contract is disappointing, both teams discussed language in items of mutual interest such as redefining who is a lead worker, content of personnel file and parental leave.
APC has made clear to the CSU they must produce a viable salary proposal as soon as possible; both parties have agreed to resume bargaining on August 9 and August 19. We will also keep you abreast of any change on the CSU budget impacting our bargaining process.
