apc-and-csu-reach-a-tentative-agreement-sept-2024

We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative three-year agreement with the CSU.  This agreement provides a General Salary Increase, lays the foundation for future negotiations and preserves hard won provisions of our contract. While the full details will be shared with you in the coming weeks, here are some key provisions of the new agreement:

  • A 5% General Salary Increase: Retroactive to July 1, 2024, for all employees in pay status or on leave as of that date
  • Salary Re-opener Negotiations for:
    • Fiscal Year 2025-26, bargaining will begin after release of May Revise Budget in 2025, with a renewed discussion on establishing a proper step system that recognizes years of experience for Unit 4 members
    • Fiscal Year 2026-27, bargaining will begin after release of May Revise Budget in 2026.
  • Preservation of Current IRP Process: We will maintain the existing IRP process, along with all of APC’s unique bonus programs.
  • A modest increase of up to $2.00 per month in parking fees: For FY 2024-2025, with any future increases in parking costs contingent upon salary increases over the next two years of the agreement.

Please note that this agreement remains tentative until ratified by a vote by APC members. As with our most recent vote, the ratification process will be conducted electronically, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). We are currently finalizing the logistics with AAA, and the vote is expected to take place during the last two weeks of September.

APC members will soon receive detailed materials outlining the changes to the contract. We encourage all members to attend one of the town hall meetings we will be scheduling soon for more information and the opportunity to ask questions.  Please press the links below to read the articles modified by this contract.
