APC and the CSU Bargaining Teams resumed bargaining on Monday, August 19, 2024.
At this last round of negotiations, the CSU took an important step in the right direction by submitting a three-year economic proposal. You may recall that, in past bargaining sessions, the CSU had not given us any economic proposals and we were wondering whether it was their intent to negotiate a single or multiple-year agreement. After this last meeting, it is clear we are negotiating an agreement through FY 2026-2027.
While both teams remain apart in the details of the proposed compensation, we believe knowing the span of the future contract provides a framework within which we may be able to formulate a mutually acceptable agreement.
Both bargaining teams will be meeting again on Tuesday, September 3, when APC plans to submit a counter proposal to the CSU.
